The Lava Cake Sofa is inspired by the iconic Lava Cake, known for its soft texture and the flowing chocolate sauce on top and inside. The designer aimed to replicate this with the soft removable cushion on the backrest and armrests, creating a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. The goal is to provide a cozy and indulgent experience while sitting on the sofa, akin to enjoying a dessert, offering lasting pleasure.
The down filling in the cushions creates a soft, enveloping sensation, while the latex filling adds elasticity and support, giving in a multi-layered sitting experience. Additionally, the sofa includes two extra pillows for added flexible support. The upholstery on the cushions and pillows is easy to remove and clean, and it is waterproof, oil-proof, and dust-proof. Its durable and scratch-resistant properties make it suitable for pet owners, allowing them to enjoy quality time with their pets in comfort.

Sisi Hong

Sisi Hong is an internationally trained industrial designer who graduated with the MID major from the Pratt Institute in New York. She has a passion for unusual and playful ideas, as well as grotesque yet reasonable ones. Sisi cares about tangible products close enough to people’s daily lives and strives to use her expertise as a designer to create better products for a better life.
Her odyssey from a rural area to an urban environment and then to the U.S. has endowed her design with a richer touch and elasticity.

The cushion is filled with quality down and foams of varying elasticities, offering a soft and supportive sitting experience with layers of comfort.

Entirely Cushioned

The sofa is entirely covered with cushions, which helps prevent injuries from bumps.

Matching Pillows

The sofa comes with two pillows featuring the same upholstery and filling, providing flexible support for different parts of your body.

Easy to Clean

The two seat cushions, three backrest and armrest cushions, and the pillows are all removable, allowing for easy cleaning of the upholstery and sun drying of the cushions and pillows.

Soft Partition

The sofa design considers the back and is visually appealing from all angles. It can serve as a partition between different functional areas.

Suede Upholstery

The suede upholstery is skin-friendly and breathable, providing a soft and cozy touch. It is also waterproof, oil-proof, and dust-proof, and has passed the California TB-117 flammability standard.

Easy to Transport and Assemble

The sofa's body is securely linked with connectors, which is easy to transport and assemble.
